Find chess.
Follow chess.
Play chess.
TournaCast connects players with tournaments and chess clubs — wherever they are. Discover places to play, follow the events you care about and stay informed without noisy group chats, crowded inboxes or social-media clutter.
Chess shouldn't be hard to find.
You shouldn't need to know the right federation website, regional calendar, Facebook group or local organizer just to find somewhere to play. TournaCast brings clubs and tournaments together on a free, community-driven map.
Find chess wherever you are.
Looking for a tournament this weekend? Traveling and wondering whether there is a chess club nearby? New to an area and don't know the local chess scene? Open the map and start exploring.
Players are looking for places to play. Clubs are looking for new players. Organizers are looking for participants. TournaCast brings them together.
Especially useful when you are outside the usual chess circuits.
TournaCast is designed for every chess player — including occasional players, travelers and people who are not plugged into a national or regional tournament network. You do not need Vega and you do not need VegaResults to benefit from the app.
Discover nearby chess
Find tournaments and clubs even when you have no idea where the local chess community publishes its information.
Travel and keep playing
Use Near me while traveling, or explore a different city before you arrive.
Go straight to the source
Club markers can take you to the club's own official website for reliable contact and practical information.
Scan. Follow. Stay updated.
At supported tournaments, scan a VegaResults/Orion QR code and jump straight to live standings and pairings. Follow a tournament once and pairings, standings and organizer announcements can reach you directly when they matter.
You don't need another group.
Players should not have to trade privacy for information. Many do not want to share their phone number, join another noisy chat, or see tournament updates buried under unrelated messages and crowded inboxes. They simply want to follow the events they care about — and stop following them whenever they choose.
This matters even more for families. Parents should not have to circulate a child's personal contact details just so they can receive practical tournament information.
Social media
Requires another platform, another feed and often an account users may not want — with additional concerns for younger users.
Useful, but tournament information competes with everything else in the inbox and often requires sharing another personal contact point.
WhatsApp / Telegram
Convenient for conversation, but groups can expose phone numbers or identities, become noisy, and keep participants connected long after the tournament is over.
TournaCast
Follow tournaments, not chats. Players can choose the events they want to follow and receive relevant updates without sharing their phone number or personal contact details.
Your next player may not know you exist yet.
Social channels are excellent for people already inside your community. TournaCast can also help people outside it discover your club or tournament.
Be discovered
Put your club or tournament where players are already looking for somewhere to play.
Keep your community informed
When using VegaResults, organizers can send direct announcements to people following their events — schedule changes, venue notes or anything else participants need to know.
Keep your results platform
TournaCast does not require organizers to give up the tournament results platform they already use. Your event can still be discovered through TournaCast while you continue publishing results with the service or software you prefer.
Built by the community. Verified before publication.
Players, clubs and organizers can help expand TournaCast's free, community-driven map by suggesting missing clubs and events. TournaCast is not an unrestricted pinboard: submitted entries must have a solid official website where their identity and contact details can be verified. Social-media pages and generic results-publishing pages are not accepted as substitutes.
Submissions are reviewed before publication and approved entries are normally added within 48 hours.
TournaCast stands on its own. VegaResults makes it even more powerful.
TournaCast brings the services and live tournament information already available through VegaResults into a simpler mobile experience. At the same time, its free, community-driven map goes beyond the Vega ecosystem: even if your club or tournament does not use Vega or VegaResults, TournaCast remains a discovery tool for players and a bridge between organizers, clubs and the wider chess community.
TournaCast for everyone
Discover clubs and events on a free, community-driven map, search near you and connect with chess communities.
With VegaResults
Follow tournaments, receive results and pairings, use QR access, registration and organizer messages.
One bridge
From discovery before the event to live information during it, TournaCast keeps the player journey connected.
From Vega to VegaResults to TournaCast.
Vega has grown for more than two decades through the experience and ideas of arbiters using it in real tournaments around the world. Its long-standing relationship with the chess and Linux communities has helped shape its development, and the Linux edition remains available free of charge. Vega has also served as a platform for experimenting with new Swiss pairing systems and innovative tie-break methods.
In 2018, that evolution moved further onto the web with the birth of VegaResults: an independent platform created to give arbiters and organizers modern tools for publishing tournament information and results, while responding to new digital needs as they emerged.
TournaCast continues that evolution on mobile. It makes VegaResults services easier and more immediate for players, while its free, community-driven map opens the experience beyond the Vega ecosystem to clubs, organizers and chess communities everywhere.
Vega grew with its arbiter community. TournaCast's map grows with the chess community.
Chess already has players, clubs, tournaments and great online services. TournaCast helps connect them.
Find somewhere to play. Make your club easier to discover. Follow the tournaments that matter to you. Let the chess community reach the people who want to be part of it.
